Feb 22, 2016 · For about a week now, each time I boot up, I receive this message as a pop-up – “Failed to connect to a Windows Service. Windows couldn’t connect to the Group Policy service.” I have problems using File Explorer, none of the options (such as Trying to upgrade to firmware version 2.21.111. clicking on the link provided says to check current firmware version. I’m pretty sure that I have version4.x, but I can’t connect to the device (see image). MyCloud is found in my network and also by Windows Explorer. I can see files in Explorer as recent as this hour. My first taught was – maybe there’s some problem with this Windows 10 VM, as there are a few different VPN clients. They can sometimes block each other. Let’s try from Windows 7 VM. I tried and it failed again.
